Terms and Conditions
Welcome to The Journey Margaret River. By booking a tour or transfer with us, you agree to the following terms and conditions, which are designed to ensure a safe, enjoyable and transparent experience.
Booking and Payment
Bookings can be made via our website enquiry form, WhatsApp, text message or phone. Once we have confirmed availability and agreed on the details of your tour or transfer, a 20% deposit is required to secure your date. This deposit is non-refundable under any circumstances.
A confirmation email will be sent once your deposit has been received and the booking is confirmed. The remaining balance is payable on the day of your tour or transfer by card (tap via Square) or bank transfer.
Gift Vouchers
Gift vouchers are available on request and can be purchased for a specific tour type or a monetary value. Vouchers are valid for 36 months from the date of purchase unless otherwise stated. Vouchers are non-refundable, non-transferable for cash and must be presented or referenced at the time of booking. Bookings made with a gift voucher are subject to availability and to all other terms and conditions outlined on this page.
Cancellations and Refunds
The 20% deposit is non-refundable regardless of when a cancellation is made. Cancellations made more than 14 days before the scheduled tour date may be eligible for a credit toward a future booking at our discretion. No credit or refund of any kind will be offered for cancellations made within 14 days of the tour.
In the rare event that we need to cancel your booking (for example, due to illness, a vehicle issue or severe weather), you will receive a full refund or the option to reschedule at a time that suits you.
What’s Included
Your tour booking includes a private driver, personalised itinerary planning and all winery bookings made on your behalf. The cost of food, wine tastings, entry fees and any other personal purchases during the day is not included and is payable directly by guests at each venue. We do not include tasting fees or lunch costs unless specifically arranged in advance.
Safety and Guest Conduct
All guests must wear seatbelts at all times and follow Australian road safety laws. We uphold the principles of Responsible Service of Alcohol. If a guest is visibly intoxicated, we reserve the right to refuse further service or adjust the itinerary in the interests of safety.
We welcome families and guests of all ages. Children and minors must be accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult at all times during the tour.
Abusive, threatening or disrespectful behaviour towards your driver or others will not be tolerated. We reserve the right to end a tour immediately or refuse future bookings in such cases. No refund will be provided where a tour is ended due to guest conduct.
Substitute Driver
In the unlikely event that Mo is unable to operate your tour due to illness or unforeseen circumstances, we may arrange a substitute driver from our professional network to ensure your booking proceeds as planned. If a suitable replacement cannot be arranged, you will be offered a full refund or the option to reschedule.
Weather and Itinerary Changes
Tours run in most weather conditions. However, in the case of extreme weather such as flooding, bushfire risk or severe storms, we may cancel or reschedule your tour for safety. We may also adjust the itinerary on the day if necessary due to unforeseen circumstances such as traffic delays, winery availability or road closures.
Force Majeure
We are not liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations where such failure or delay results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control. This includes but is not limited to natural disasters, severe weather events, bushfires, government restrictions, road closures, public health emergencies, power failures or other events that could not reasonably have been anticipated or prevented. In such cases, we will offer a full refund or the option to reschedule.
Website and Privacy
We may collect personal information such as names, email addresses and phone numbers submitted through our contact forms for the purposes of managing your booking and communicating with you about your tour. Your personal details are stored securely and are never shared with third parties without your consent. We use basic website analytics to help us understand visitor behaviour and improve our services. For further detail, please refer to our Privacy Policy.
