A SIGHTSEEING JOURNEY IN MARGARET RIVER
The Natural Side of the Region
Forest, coast and the places most visitors drive past
Some of my favourite days out here are spent among the karri forest, along the coast and out at the lighthouses. A sightseeing tour is a private day exploring that side of the region, the forests, caves, beaches and the hidden parts most visitors drive past.
I plan the route around what you want to see and drive it at a pace that suits you, so there is no working out where to go, where to park or how it all fits together. You just take it in.
WHO IT SUITS
A Private Day For Guests Drawn to the Landscape, the Coast and Good Food
Part of a longer stay
Ideal if you are here for a few days and want to break up the wineries with a day among the forest, caves and coast. Many guests pair a couple of wine days with one out in the scenery.
Families
Caves, beaches, wildlife, chocolate and local produce, at a pace that suits everyone and with no rush.
Scenery lovers
For guests drawn to the forest, the coast and the hidden parts of the region as much as the wine. A day built around the landscape itself.
Cruise visitors
A relaxed private alternative to the coach tour for guests arriving at Busselton with a day to explore.
Example days
Built Around an Area, Not a Rushed Checklist
The region is bigger than many visitors expect, so the best days usually follow a theme or part of the coast and do it properly.
Southern forest and lighthouse day
The tall karri of Boranup Forest, one of the region's caves, Hamelin Bay where stingrays sometimes come into the shallows, and the Cape Leeuwin lighthouse at Augusta where two oceans meet. Plenty of room for a good lunch along the way.
Northern coast and lookout day
Cape Naturaliste, Sugarloaf Rock and Canal Rocks, the beaches around Yallingup and the coastal lookouts at the northern end of the region. A day that follows the shoreline at an easy pace.
Family sightseeing day
The Busselton Jetty with its train and underwater observatory, the hedge maze at Amaze'n Margaret River, and stops for chocolate, dairy and a coffee, with time on the beach and a wildlife stop or two along the way.
How it Works
Your route, timing and planning all taken care of
I pick you up from your accommodation and bring you home at the end of the day. Every tour is private, with a maximum of seven guests and six being the most comfortable.

Local knowledge that shapes the day
I have spent years exploring this region and I know it well beyond the main stops. That means I can time things so you arrive somewhere at its best, point out the places worth a detour, and shape the day so it flows at a relaxed pace with the driving and the planning taken care of.
It also means I know the quieter corners. The lookout most people drive past, the stretch of forest that is loveliest in the late afternoon light, the beach that stays calm when the coast is busy. As an EcoStar accredited operator I keep groups small and tread lightly, which suits this kind of day. You see more of the region and feel less of the crowd.
Easy additions to
your sightseeing day
Food, coffee and local produce stops can
be folded into the route depending on the
day.
Coffee by the beach
Local chocolate
Berry Farm visit
